  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • ½ cup beef broth or water
  • Fresh herbs such as parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

    Prep the Ingredients:

    • Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, dice the onion, and mince the garlic.

    Brown the Ground Beef:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes). Drain any excess fat if necessary.

    Sauté the Onion and Garlic:

    • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.

    Add the Cabbage and Seasonings:

    • Stir in the chopped cabbage, paprika, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to soften.

    Add Liquid and Simmer:

    • Pour in the beef broth (or water) and stir to combine. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer for another 10-12 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the flavors meld together.

    Garnish and Serve:
